AWARD-WINNING CUSTOM DESIGN

We initially met onsite to discuss their needs and review our range of standard designs. One of the new designs in particular stood out from the rest: The Metro. They loved the layout but wanted a large verandah instead of the 2 small decks so we modified the 2 halves of the plan, sliding the “bedroom zone” closer to the “living zone”. This allowed us to introduce a large L-shaped deck that wrapped around the living area starting from the entry and finishing at the main bedroom. The end-result was an integrated design where the interior opens-up beautifully to the exterior.

The external wall cladding is a mix of Colorbond Custom Orb and Weathertex wall panels, creating a modern rural look that suits the region. The smooth corrugations of the Custom Orb nicely contrast the roughsawn timber texture. Our client customised their colour scheme, choosing a deep blue cladding to contrast with the cherry red, giving the granny flat a striking look. The natural stained timber provides some balance.
